No one is safe from hacking, especially as methods keep evolving and adapting to counter new protections. It has been proven that a hacker’s entry point is no longer necessarily the computer to gain access to our data, so protecting your home and securing your data has become essential. A computer may be equipped with antivirus software, but not all connected devices have dedicated, suitable protection.
Our homes are increasingly equipped: TVs, phones, light bulbs, fridges… all controllable via the internet. Our home is turning into a “SmartHome,” and the risks are growing right along with it.
A state-of-the-art television can therefore serve as an entry point to access all the other connected devices, and thus the data available in our home.
The company F-Secure has unveiled its solution to address this new phenomenon and protect our SmartHome and its connected devices.
F-Secure: Sense
A physical and software-based protection thanks to the device called “F-Secure Sense,” which filters and acts as an intermediary between the internet box and the rest of our equipment.
A single source of protection will therefore be shared across all devices, filtering out risks right at the source! F-Secure Sense seems to be a very good solution for protecting your home and securing your data.
“F-Secure SENSE is the first product that goes beyond traditional device analysis by leveraging the proactive detection capabilities offered by the Security Cloud. Indeed, if you wait for hackers to break into your home, it is already too late… F-Secure SENSE is therefore, for us, a brand new, more comprehensive approach to guaranteeing your security – because it protects not only your devices, but your home as well.” Samu Konttinen, Executive Vice President, Consumer Security F-Secure.
